Being found is a common concern. Or more accurately, not being found is a common concern.

What I highly recommend is that you take a few moments and think of keywords that describe your artwork. The more specific your keywords are the less competition you will have when people search for artwork by keyword.

It's the difference between searching for painting (1431 results) and searching for wildlife painting (3 results).

Then go through and edit your artwork's title, description and keywords section to include your numerous keywords that accurately describe your artwork. Over time popular search engines will index your keywords as well.

If you would like your name to show up in search results then be sure to include it in your keyword section as well.

If you are interested in your artwork being found by popular search engines you are encouraged to use descriptive text for the titles, descriptions and keyword sections of your artwork and galleries. For instructions on how to post your artwork in our forums click here.

You are also encouraged to recommend artwork by browsing through galleries and recommending your favorite artwork. Think of it has hanging their artwork on your wall. Remember, when someone recommends your artwork they are 1. offering feedback and 2. helping provide your artwork with additional exposure... so take a second and recommend one of their artworks in return or post a thankful comment on their passport page.
